No matter how hard I try, I seem to never be able to restrain myself away from this little box of bad boys! There is always a constant battle between the devil and the angel inside my head debating whether or not I should steal another drumstick from the freezer. Typically, my mom has to stock up two boxes every few days because I nom away at least three drumsticks a day.
Each box comes with eight divine little ice devils, dipped in dark chocolate. I usually get normal cones when I purchase an icecrem in the store. However, I am surprised as to find how fabulous the tiny waffle cone complimented the chocolate covered icecream extraordinarly well. Not to mention, the waffle is usually still crunchy. Definitely adds a point on the mental note!

Tried a new holiday drink, but I cannot quite recall what I had ordered.. It's a frap though. Along with the blended drink, I also ordered the spinich w/ dried tomatoes panini. Absolutely delicious!

I woke up at 6AM and interned until 12:15ish and then I rushed back to school to do my econ midterm. It took me about 2 hours to finish and then Finally! I was able to eat my lunch at 3pm. ^.^

Gift. Deciding on the perfect gift to give to someone is really tough. I have always had difficulties picking out the most perfect gift that I think my friend/ bf would like. Does buying the most expensive gifts such as Tiffany &Co jewelry, gucci hand bag, Burberry scarf, or LV luggage really depicts the most thoughtful gift? No. I do not agree what so ever.

In my opinion, time is the most meaningful and most precious gift a person could give to another person. What I look for in a guy is whether or not he would take time out of his busy schedule to listen to what I have to say or bottom line, just be there to accompany me. We do not have to be doing anything spectacular, but I just want the feeling of being someone important. You do not have to give a tangible object as a gift. The thoughtfulness of you putting aside time for my attention already melts my heart away.

I am given weekly assignments from one of the FA at my internship. Every Friday, I meet with him at 10PM to discuss my findings. This week, he gave me three Q2 results booklets from Putnam, Goldman Sachs, and Fidelity for funds analysis. I have to find some overall 4 and 5 morningstar raitings and analyze the funds. Some of the booklets did not contain information I was asked to find, so I had to go on the internet and do more research.

Before the start of my Fall 2011 semester, I created a poster and posted it right above my desk to remind me of my current goal- 4.0 this semester. My 8-week accelerated Intro to Business class just ended last Tuesday, and I got my final grade- a 95%! An A checked off my list! It would be an understatement to even say the least that class took up so many hours of my week. Handling 19 units of semester coursework, Interning 12 hours a week, and editing my college apps, I still managed to get an A in this class. I am extremely proud of myself. :'] Good Job Joanna!

I think keeping goals in a place you are able to see everyday will help you get focused. Just like the second poster I posted. It was a fundraising poster I made as a treasurer officer at the ABL 2010 SBI CSUF site. I helped our site fundraise the most money out of the four competition sites and was honored onstage at graduation. These posters resonate a sence of "I am worthy" inside my heart.

Dinner for Two!

Today, I had escargot "Bourguignon" and beef tongue for dinner. I thought it turned out pretty damn good so I wanted to share on here.

Bought this can of snails in Hong Kong.

First take the snails out of the can.

Rinse the snails with cold water, then with hot water.

The recipe called for:

1 stick of butter, make sure it's softened
1 tbsp of minced shallots
1 1/2 tbsp of minced garlic
1/4 cup of chopped parsley
black pepper to taste
salte to taste (maybe around 1/2 tsp)

I bought this butter and added our own minced shallots and chopped home grown parsley in it.

& mix it up!

*** Preheat the oven to 425F! ***

It was exceptionally hard finding the snail shells at supermarkets in my town. So we just bought shells from Amazon.com

So I do not own any special snail dishes with dented holes on the plate (used for keeping the shell in place). So we substituted it with salt!

Stuff the shell with the snail and cover the entire opening with the butter mix.

Now it is ready for the oven!

As a side, we made a simple pasta.

Bought this bag of pasta for about $3 at Wholefood! What a bargain!

Bring the water to boil and add a tsp of salt and add the pasta.

Boil and peel the skin from our home grown tomato.

Added our home made pesto sauce + extra virgin olive oil with truffle (bought in Hong Kong @ Sogo).

Add some veggies!

Tada! You are done!

Everything about this restaurant was absolutely perfect.
I came here on a Friday afternoon for lunch and my cousin told me when he ate here on Tuesday, the quantity of shashimis was given a lot more. Therefore, I must give this place a 4 1/2 star for that reason :/.

Other than that, do try this place out! ( Just not on a Friday) :)
